Hare

Using Inverse Operation

This half term, Hare class have been focusing on place value, addition and subtraction in Maths.

Today, the children worked in their Maths teams to check answers using the inverse operation. The children loved being out of the classroom environment and working collaboratively to find a solution!

Shirley Lloyd Visit

On Monday 9th October 2017, Hare Class enjoyed a visit from Shirley Lloyd of Blists Hill Victorian Town in Shropshire. The children had the opportunity to discuss objects from the Victorian era such as peg dolls, toys, writing slates, the cane and carbolic soap. After morning break, the children took part in Victorian style Maths, Writing, Science and Geography lessons, as well as venturing outside for a shot drill session. This visit ties in with the children’s topic for this half term, where they have studied Victorian schools and life for children in the Victorian era.
